For shops
Last updated: 2026-10-02
VRCBoost is an unofficial, independently run service that makes VRChat 3D items published on BOOTH easier to find (it is not affiliated with VRChat Inc. or BOOTH / pixiv Inc.). This page explains what it shows and how to ask for your shop to be left out or for a correction.
1. What VRCBoost shows
From BOOTH's public pages (item lists and item pages), VRCBoost reads item names, prices, tags, categories, shop names, like counts and image URLs. It covers all-ages items only; R-18 items are neither read nor shown.
Item images are shown straight from BOOTH's image servers and are never stored or re-hosted by VRCBoost. Descriptions are not shown; every item links to its BOOTH page.
Compatible avatars, setup (Modular Avatar, VRCFury and others), summaries of terms of use and sales are estimated by VRCBoost from item names, tags and descriptions, and from the terms documents descriptions link to. They are shown as estimates with their sources and links to the original item page and terms.
Prices are recorded when they change and shown as a price history on item pages.
Search results are ordered only by the conditions chosen (newest, likes, price and so on); no shop is favoured. There are no listing fees or ads.
2. How VRCBoost reads BOOTH
VRCBoost reads BOOTH from one place, one request at a time, at least 2 seconds apart. New items and sale tags are read every 30 minutes, and the full lists over 12 to 24 hours. Item pages are read only for new items and for items whose name, price or image changed in a list.
3. Leaving your shop out
A shop can be left out as a whole: its items no longer appear in the search, on shop and item pages or in the sitemap, and their pages are no longer read or estimated.
If your shop is linked (5.), you can stop and resume your listing in My page at any time (it can take up to about an hour to show).
Otherwise, please email your shop's URL (https://….booth.pm/) to the address below. To make sure the request comes from the shop, we may ask to confirm it through a contact shown on your BOOTH shop page or your shop's social media. We act on it as soon as it is confirmed.
4. Corrections
If an estimate (compatible avatars, terms summary, sale) is wrong, please send the item's URL and the correct information. We will correct the estimate or remove it.
Changes on BOOTH, such as prices and availability, can take up to about a day to show on VRCBoost.
5. Shop link
Sign in to VRCBoost with Discord or Google and link your shop under "Shop link" in My page to ask for new or updated items to be imported, to register sales and to stop or resume your listing. Requests are imported first, within 30 minutes.
To link, put the link My page shows in "Website" in your shop's settings on BOOTH, save them and ask for the check. The link holds a string only you know, and only someone who can edit the shop's settings (the shop's owner) can put it there, so it shows the BOOTH shop and the VRCBoost account are the same person's. Asking for the check reads your shop's page (its list of items) once, at once (one check a minute, five a day). Once linked, you may set your website back.
Several members (your staff) can link the same shop. A member whose link is confirmed sees how many others link it (not who). The member whose link was confirmed first (the owner) can remove links they do not recognise, such as a former staff member's, all together; the others cannot. A removed member can link again only by putting a new link in the shop's website setting. When the owner unlinks, the member confirmed next becomes the owner. If a former staff member linked the shop first and cannot be removed, please email the address below.
A registered sale is shown as declared by the shop, with its regular price and period, only while BOOTH's price is the sale price. Requests and sales are limited to 20 a day per shop.
A linked shop is marked "Linked to VRCBoost" on its page and its items' pages. Its management page shows its figures: the visits VRCBoost sent to BOOTH ("View on BOOTH" followed), followers, how its likes grow, its items in the rankings, how many members have its items and how many lists they are in (counts of few members are hidden). Links and a banner to share in BOOTH descriptions, on social media or a website are ready there too. When the AI read an item's terms right, the shop can mark them "checked by the shop"; when wrongly, it can say so (a warning shows on the item's page and the admins check it).
Linking changes nothing in search results, orders or rankings. It does not add requests to BOOTH either: it only changes the order items are read in.
A linked shop chooses whether it accepts "members' photos" (not by default). If it does, members who marked one of its items as one they have can post photos of it in use. The shop checks them under "Members' photos to approve" on its management page, and only the photos it approves, one by one, are shown on the item's page while it accepts them (all-ages only, never with the member's name). Approving a photo with an avatar adds that avatar to the avatars the item suits. The shop can hide an approved photo at any time, and no photos are shown once it stops accepting them. Only members who said the item "worked well" can post. When a member chooses one of your items under "Used with" on a photo of another item, the photo also shows on your item's page while you accept photos; that photo was approved by the other item's shop, and you can take it off your item's page under "Photos with your items" on your management page.
Members who have an item can say it "worked well", and the item's page shows how many did (it is not used in the order of lists). The shop neither approves nor chooses them, and members linking a shop cannot say so of its items. Asking for "worked well" or photos in return for rewards or discounts is against the terms of use (and may fall under Japan's rules on stealth marketing).
