PR terms
Last updated: 2026-10-06
The terms of the PR (advertisements) VRCBoost sells (the service). You agree to them when you order. VRCBoost's terms of use apply too (these terms come first where they differ).
1. Orders and the contract
Only a member whose link to a BOOTH shop was confirmed with VRCBoost's shop link can order, for that shop's items, with "Order a PR" on the shop's management page (or on the item's page on VRCBoost). Orders by email or any other way are not taken. If you are a minor, order with your legal guardian's consent.
The contract is made when the admins approve the order and the payment is charged. When you order, the amount is only held on your card (what the balance pays is taken from it when you order, and given back if the order is not accepted).
2. What is shown
The item ordered is shown in one place, apart from the results and marked "PR", in the lists whose conditions it matches (search, sales, an avatar's items, and so on). The results themselves, their count, their order and the rankings do not change.
It is shown up to the views the order's budget buys (the budget divided by the price of 1,000 views, times 1,000), spread evenly over its days (on a day it reaches its share, it is not shown more that day). Once the views bought are used, it ends, even before its last day.
When several PRs could be shown in the same list, they take turns in no set order. Using all the views bought within the days, clicks, sales or any other effect are not guaranteed.
3. Review and what may be shown
Orders are reviewed by the AI automatically and by the admins. The AI reads the item's public information (name, category, tags, shop name and description); an order in which it finds no sign of the following is approved at once, and any other the admins check (the AI never turns an order down by itself). The following are not approved (the hold is then released and nothing is charged); if one turns out to fall under them after approval, the PR may be stopped as in section 6:
Items not for all ages. Items with untrue claims, or claims that make them seem far better or cheaper than they are (which may break Japan's Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations). Anything that may infringe others' rights. Anything that may break the law, public order, or BOOTH's or VRChat's terms. Anything else the admins find unsuited.
4. Price and payment
You pay for views. The price of 1,000 views and the budgets are as shown on the order page and the legal notice (tax included). The budget is paid in advance when you order: from the balance (section 5) first, if any, and the rest by credit card through Stripe, charged when the order is approved.
A view billed is the card at least half in view for a second. It counts once a day from each connection (IP address), only from pages VRCBoost showed, and nothing from bots or other sites.
On a day its views jump above the advertisement's usual days, billing them is held, as they may be fake. The admins, or the AI once it has ended, check such a day (from the visits to the whole site, the item's own visits, clicks and so on) and decide whether to bill it, with why shown by the day on the shop's management page. A day they cannot decide is not billed. A day held does not count toward the views shown that day.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Until the day before the first day, cancel on the shop's management page and all of it is refunded (what came from the balance goes back to it). Once it has started, it cannot be canceled.
Once it has ended (its days are over, or the views bought are used), the views billed are settled from the budget (at the price of 1,000 views, rounded up to the yen). What is left becomes a balance for the shop's next PR.
Only the member who ordered can use the balance, for that shop's PR. It can be used for 180 days from the payment it came from (when it was charged); what is left on that day is refunded to the card paid with. A balance cannot be turned into cash or moved to another member or shop.
6. Stopping a PR
The admins may stop a PR when its item turns out to fall under section 3, when a rights holder complains, or when it is otherwise unavoidable. The views billed until then are settled, and what is left of the card's part is refunded to the card (what is left of the balance's part goes back to it).
While the shop has taken the item off sale or hidden it on BOOTH, or has stopped its listing on VRCBoost, the PR is not shown (nothing is billed meanwhile, but its days do not grow longer; what is left becomes a balance as in section 5).
7. Liability
A PR may not be shown at times because of failures or maintenance (nothing is billed meanwhile). Damages for which VRCBoost is responsible are limited to the price settled for the order, except in case of intent or gross negligence.
8. Changes
These terms may change. The new terms apply to orders made after they are posted on this page (earlier orders keep the terms they were made under).
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. For questions, email contact@vrcboost.com.
